SAFETY SUPERVISOR- TRANSPORTATION Desert Runner Transportation INC - Nogales, AZ DESERT RUNNER TRANSPORTATION, INC, a leading owner operator corporation is seeking a Safety Supervisor for our organization. This position will be located at our headquarters in Nogales, Az. This position will provide ongoing technical expertise, oversee, develop and implement safety and training programs and procedures in compliance with Federal and State regulations KEY RESPONSIBILITES: Ensure compliance to FMCSA, State and Federal regulations as related to the position Review all driver violations with regard to CSA and Company policies. Review and evaluate driver safety performance and administer discipline for safety related violations. Manage safety policies, drug and alcohol program;maintaining the plan documents and keeping up to date on changing regulations Maintain solid records for Drug & Alcohol tracking, accident/incident reporting and training records. Submit insurance claims and follow-up and respond to inquiries and file required reporting. Review accidents/incidents to determine cause of and preventability Coordinate Owner Operator truck paperwork, insurance and inspection. Develop and implement best practice training programs for new driver safety orientation and road tests Facilitate completion of new hire paperwork and driver qualification files Develop, update and manage workplace safety programs, procedures and policies. Administer driver recognition programs. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge of FMCSA regulations Excellent verbal and written communication skills Knowledgeable of Hours of Service rule Proficient with Microsoft Office Powerpoint, Word, Excel & Access Two years related experience preferred.
